Congratulations Kiltwalkers – a sunny weekend with thousands of miles clocked up, and thousands of pounds raised!

Scotland’s Virtual Kiltwalk took place over the weekend 23-25 April and thousands of women, men and children set their own challenges in and around their local communities to raise funds for charities close to their hearts.

Thank you to everyone who pulled on a bit of tartan and ran, walked, swam, cycled or rowed, in support of the STV Children’s Appeal. Congratulations on your achievement and also for helping to ensure children in Scotland affected by poverty will receive the care and support they need, during these difficult times.

Pictured are a team from Buckie who took on the Fish Wives Trail. These local heroes have raised to date an amazing £700 – and that is before The Hunter Foundation 50% top up is applied!

We’ll provide an update on the grand total raised by walkers and how the funds will be used to help the one in every four children affected by poverty in Scotland, just as soon as fundraising pages close in May.

Thank you so much again to everyone who took on a challenge, and thanks too to everyone who made a donation in support of their challenge.
