‘Okeye the Noo’ – a new Scottish children’s book making a difference

Everyone, meet Okeye – a new and special friend of the STV Children’s Appeal!

‘Okeye the Noo’ is a beautifully written children’s book created by Sandra Garland from Kilmarnock who can now tick publishing a book off of her bucket list! The book is available from a number of retailers now, links below, and all proceeds from the sales will donated to the STV Children’s Appeal.

Over seventy years ago Sandra was born with club feet, spent a lot of her younger years in hospital, and saw this as great opportunity to give something back, as she remembers the kindness from others and how it made a difference to her during those tough times.

Sandra said, “I always wanted to have a book published and the idea of Okeye the Noo just came to me one day, turning the popular Scottish phrase into an engaging children’s character.

“The book is a lot of fun, it will make you laugh, and I am delighted that readers will also be helping children in Scotland affected by poverty, simply by purchasing and enjoying a copy.”

If you would like to order a copy of Okeye the Noo, you can find it online at WH Smith, Waterstone’s or through Amazon: https://amzn.to/3baTxO5

Thank you Sandra and Okeye!
