Beatson’s Building Supplies has partnered with STV Children’s Appeal to help tackle child poverty.
The building firm which has branches in Cumbernauld, Alloa, Penicuik, Dunfermline and Stirling has committed to raising £50,000 from its staff and customers during 2021.
Beatson’s Director Scott Gibson explains:
“At Beatson’s, we are always trying to give back to our local community. We have decided to partner with the STV Children’s Appeal this year.
“The Appeal fund a wide range of worthy charities and community groups from our local area, with 100% of money donated going directly to the charity. They are all great causes and we hope we can beat our £50k target we have set for this year.”
Graham Steven, Corporate Fundraising and Individual Giving Manager at STV Children’s Appeal said:
“The pandemic has created significant challenges for children and young people living in poverty and increased the level of inequality experienced.
“We are really excited to partner with Beatson’s Building Supplies who share our passion to make a difference for our local communities in this time of need. We are thrilled that within the first month alone, generous customers and staff have raised over £7,000 which will be used to ensure children and young people are supported practically and emotionally to help them thrive, not just survive.”
