Who We Help

Ignite Fund

What is the Ignite Fund?

The Ignite Fund aims to break the cycle of child poverty in Scotland by providing multi-year, sustained financial and development support to charities across the country. Since its inception in 2011 STV Children’s Appeal has invested in long-term projects with charitable organisations, the Ignite Fund is an important extension of this strategy.

What does the Ignite Fund do and how do we work with our partners?

Through The Ignite Fund, our charity partners will receive long-term financial and non-financial support. We do this to ensure long-lasting change can be affected and make a real difference to our mission in stopping child poverty in Scotland.

We have found over the years that long-term funding is key to helping our partners achieve their long-term goals. By donating annual amounts, the charities can plan, test, implement and grow, which creates a more sustainable business model and impact.

The charities will also be part of the Ignite Academy which provides access to STV’s in-house expertise to offer support and guidance, as well as creating an inter-charity support network focused on knowledge and skill sharing.

Which charities are a part of the Ignite Fund?

This year we have 11 charity partners, some are brand new collaborators, and some are existing partners which we’ve supported the past few years. We will share more in upcoming newsletters, but for now you can check out their websites.
